Our Campus Partner

ubc-okanagan-pictureThe Arab Intercultural Club is partnering with Textbooks for Change to collect textbooks at UBC Okanagan this semester.

The Arab Intercultural Club was created in 2014, as the Arab Students Association. The club started with three main goals: to offer a home away from home for newly incoming Arab students; to present Arab history and culture to the student body; to initiate movements that have positive impact on the community and showcasing our character of being global citizens in the community. The name of the club was changed earlier this September to better represent our goals.

Club leaders realized how valuable books are, not just in terms of cost, but also in regards to the knowledge they provide students with. However, as most textbooks are mostly used for just a class or two, students can create an impact by providing others with access to them.
